TERRIERS AROUND TOWN Auction Tickets
Tickets for the Terriers Around Town public auction on October 15, 2010, are now available for purchase at the School Department (26 Central Street) and other locations around town. Tickets cost $75 each. The gala event catered by Lattitude restaurant, will take place at the new Balise Honda at 400 Riverdale Street, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Approximately 25-30 Terriers will be auctioned off to the highest bidder to raise funds for the arts for school-age children in West Springfield. TERRIERS IN BIG E PARADE SEPTEMBER 20
The hand-painted, hand-decorated 45 terriers will be featured in The Big E parade on "West Springfield Day," Monday, September 20, 2010. The parade begins at 5:00 p.m. During the summer, the terriers were positioned at various locations around town. (Where? ... See Map and map insert ). Each school hopes to purchase their school's terrier to serve as a permanent reminder of the beauty and fun in arts education.
