Update Your Student's Emergency Contact Information

This process replaces the paper forms sent home at the beginning of each school year that are used to collect important emergency contact information for your student.

You will need to use the PowerSchool Parent Portal first in order to access the Returning Student Annual Verification Form. This is the form used to collect this important contact information for your student.  If you do not have a Parent Portal account, please refer to your Parent Portal Letter for detailed instructions or, if you can not locate the letter, contact or visit your school's office for help. 

How do I get started?

Visit the PowerSchool Parent Portal at this LINK (https://wsps.powerschool.com/public/home.html)

From the Parent Portal (please note you must have a Power School Parent Portal account): If you have any questions regarding your parent portal account, please contact your student's school.

  1. Select the student you wish to register along the top 
  2. Select the Returning Student Annual Verification Form Icon on the left side for 2019-2020 
  3. Select “New to PowerSchool Enrollment” and Agree to the terms and conditions (click to comply with COPPA)
  4. Click Begin Forms
  5. Under Snapcode Authentication enter your student’s Date of Birth (MM/DD/YYYY) and press continue
  6. Begin form and press SUBMIT when form is completed
  7. To update additional students, return back to Parent Portal and click on your next student and select the Returning Student Annual Verification Form Icon on the left side for 2019-2020
  8. Under Snapcode Authentication enter your student’s Date of Birth (MM/DD/YYYY) and press continue
  9. If you would like to import the relevant information to save time, select “Import”

Do I have to answer all the questions?   Required questions are marked as "Required."

What if I make a mistake?   If you would like to make a change, click on the underlined field or click “Previous” to return to a previous page.

I’ve completed the form, now what?  When you have finished entering your information, click “Submit.” This will send all of the information you’ve entered to the school.  If you cannot click on this button, you will need to make sure that you have answered all required questions.   

What if I have more than one student at West Springfield School District?  Do I need to do this for each child? Yes, because you’ll need to provide information that is specific for each child. We recommend that you submit one Returning Student Annual Verification Form and then start another – this will allow you to “snap over” shared family information, which will save you time.

 I don’t know what a question is asking.  You can contact your child’s school to ask any general questions about the form or the Returning Student Annual Verification Form process.

 I can’t remember my login for the PowerSchool Parent Portal.   If you aren’t able to retrieve your login credentials using the “Having trouble signing in?” link on the Sign In page, please contact your school directly for assistance logging in to the Parent Portal.
