Have you heard your child talk about the Coburn Way? If not, ask them. They will tell you about the 3 values that we live by at Coburn: Kindness, Respect, and Responsibility. Students are given "Coburn Coupons" and classrooms "Coburn Paws" when they show kindness, responsibility, and/or safety. Students are able to use their coupons in their classroom school store and classrooms are able to participate in special events when they have met their class "paw" goal.

As the principal of Philip G. Coburn Elementary School, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our school community. Coburn Early Childhood is an integrated early childhood program within the West Springfield Public Schools serving children with and without disabilities.

The Early Childhood Program offers a language-based multi-sensory approach to learning. Morning and afternoon sessions and classes are held Monday – Friday. The Coburn EC Program follows the West Springfield Public Schools calendar for vacations and holidays. In addition, we offer a specialized preschool program for children with an autism diagnosis.
